PROBIOTICS · Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG
Live probiotics, sheltered inside microcapsules.
Gut health starts from within.
The range
Capsules for adults and sachets for children — a premium LGG probiotic in a clean, recognisable design.
Sound familiar?
Antibiotics, stress and diet disrupt the balance of gut microflora. This imbalance is no small thing: it affects digestion, immunity and how you feel every day.
A course of antibiotics washes out beneficial bacteria along with the pathogens.
Disrupted microflora struggles to handle fermentation and balance.
Stress and diet shift the gut ecosystem towards dysbiosis.
The active strain
ATCC 53103 · “LGG”
The most studied probiotic strain in the world. The very LGG on which the global evidence base of probiotics is built — from pediatrics to gastroenterology.
Technology
Live probiotic microorganisms are enclosed in a protective microcapsule. The shell shields the bacteria from a harsh environment and delivers them to the gut alive — right where they are meant to work.
*AFU — Active Fluorescent Units.
Two dosage forms

1 capsule per day, preferably on an empty stomach, or as recommended by a doctor.

1–2 sticks per day: pour the contents into a glass, add water (cold or room temperature) and drink immediately.
Evidence base of the LGG strain
Incidence during antibiotics is cut by more than half (NNT 8). A high dose delivers the maximum effect.
Szajewska et al., J Pediatr Gastroenterol Nutr, 2016 — ESPGHAN recommendationLGG ranked first both for efficacy against AAD and for tolerability in a large network meta-analysis.
Cai et al., United European Gastroenterol J, 2018 — 51 RCTs, 9,569 participantsThe risk of eczema by age 2 with perinatal use (mother + infant) is significantly lower (RR 0.60).
Voigt & Lele, Am J Clin Dermatol, 2022 — meta-analysis of 11 RCTsMeta-analyses show diarrhea shortened by ~24 hours on average and a shorter hospital stay.
Li et al. 2019 · McFarland et al. 2021 — meta-analysesThe data shown relate to the Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG strain (ATCC 53103) from international publications. LactaViva is a dietary supplement, not a medicinal product. Consult a doctor before use.

The data relate to the LGG strain (ATCC 53103). Not all studies showed the same effect: the large RCT by Schnadower et al. (NEJM, 2018) found no benefit in the treatment of acute gastroenteritis. LactaViva is a dietary supplement, not a medicinal product.
Safety
The rate of adverse events in studies did not differ from placebo.
The LGG strain has been studied in infants and in perinatal use in pregnant women.
First place among probiotics for tolerability in a network meta-analysis (2018).
Use with caution in severe immunodeficiency, in critically ill patients, or with a central venous catheter. Consult a doctor before use.
